Here at RiverLakes, we will help you to understand that the body is so very interconnected, that what happens to one area has a direct affect to the other. In other words, if one muscle group is tight and short, the opposing muscle group has probably become long and weak. To restore balance across a joint, the short tight muscles must be released and lengthened while at the same time the opposing long and weak muscles must be strengthened and effectively shortened. Generally, muscle imbalances can arise from subjecting the body to specific postures and positions repeatedly. Our team offers services which release, stretch and strengthen problem areas, correcting the imbalance and restoring your body to equilibrium. Staff have plenty of training and experience in addressing muscle imbalances and postural syndromes and understand the complexity of structures such as the shoulder, knee and hip joints. We work with our patients, introducing specific exercises in sequence to help correct alignment, restore balance and decrease pain and discomfort. This effectively decreases stress across joints and treats the cause as opposed to the symptom.
